Where Are The Cow's Ears?

Here's a little question I find intriguing.

It goes like this:

Do you know whether a cow's ears are above, below, behind, or in front of her horns?

Most people actually don't know for sure, even though they've probably seen cows countless times.

So how come they don't remember where the ears are?
