On Trust And Goals
Three days ago, I recevied this email. I think
Hamid has some really good points here, and I
encourage you to read it.
Sincerely,
Sten
Dear Sten
First of all thanks for your enthusiasm and your
openes.
Hope Allah will bless you with the best of this world
and the best of eternity inshaaAllah (Godwilling).
Hope your newborn beauty also lightens up your day
through the grace of Allah.
My opinion on memory is simple: Avoid useless
information that confuses ones attention.
But how to do this?!
I think there should be 3 ingredienses:
One has to have a GOAL as a guideline
CREATIVITY and STRUCTURE
The only flaw in nature is Mankind...
otherwise the creativity is beautifully structered. If
you move the sun a bit there will be chaos in the
entire solar system...
If you move around with your DNA in your pinky-finger
there will be caos in all of your body.
So everything is coherent.
And what we are searching for is to perfect our
memory. Or to perfect ourselfs in our jobs, in our
relationships or even in sports.
Every aspect of human work is aimed to perfect itself.
This is our little individual Goal as a species or
individuals - but we lack the greater purpose.
To get a hold of this Ingrediens we have to TRUST
Allah(God) - like a child should trust his father,
when the father wants the best for his children.
So TRUST and the GOAL are in a symbioses
like when you say that one has to trust his or her
memory in order for it to work properly in harmony.
Creativity is excercised by searching for knowlegde
and exercising in creating something oneself - (WITH A
REASONABLE GOAL). This could be painting, lyrics,
architecture, birdhouses etc. Or it could be as you
say - read something and take notes - study and
create.
Structure should be practised through repetition so to
cleanse and perfect ones Act or Actions.
For instans turn of the Tv atleast 5 times a day and
pray and glorify the Greatness of Allah who is perfect
in every and all ways, just for 5 minuttes. And then
one can increase it step by step to improve ones love
and TRUST in oneself and in Allah...
Because it is often the lack of trust or rather
mistrust, and the lack of love that springs from
mistrust - that leads to cliches in oneself and in
between people.
What I am trying to say is that truth and beauty lies
in simplicity - but many people like to make things
complex just for the fun of it - and in the meantime
they get lost in the overload.
A REASONABLE Goal - Trust - Creativity - Structure -
Action - because take is cheap.
That's my tip
Have a nice evening inshaaAllah

Sten,
please excuse me for my naiveity, but I don't quite understand Hamid's view. Is he trying to suggest that we should make our lives simpler so that we are able to remember what we need to remember, and pay less attention to the irrelevant things, thus remembering the important?
Salaam alaikum(Peace be upon you)
mr. Sten and "TheRealMez" and everybody else who are listening in.o)
I appreciate the question and I don't mind naiveity if it means to believe in what is right. I've met people who don't consider themselfs naive - because they see lies everywhere - but then somehow they FORGET that maybe there could be some truth in what others say.
It's funny cause I believe we lie many times a day. We lie to others and to ourselfs because of the most peti and pathetic things. So we Twist FACTS.
And complicate our own reality or virtual reality because we virtually get lost in our own maze of half true's, falsehoods and complete illusions.
Our insecurities and fears start to rule us and we start spinning in a dark and EVIL circel which affect our health aswell.
Like I said before: everything is coherent. So Keep Running Sten but not from yourself offcourse - cause that would affect your health.
There are to ways of approaching this Evil:
One can treat the symptoms
Or
One can go Deeper and fill out the hole where it originates from.
If we take the first and easy approach we will have a short satisfaction but we will not succeed.
As Sten explained in one of his interresting emails...: that without repetition - which is hard work(cause one has to remember repeating remembering) - we will not remember things for a longer period. If we don't dig deep and involve ourselfs personally with the material, people, names etc. - then it won't stick.
So we have to use ENERGY - Allah(GOD) could maybe be described as PURE ENERGY.
If we take the second approach and Use energy and have a GOAL - we have to be patient with our urge for satisfaction because this feeling disturbs our focus - and leads us astray from our Goal.
Lies may give you a bit fun but Truth gives you peace and a lasting satisfaction - and it gives you a Goal(Meaning) - a Task.
We have to climb the mountain instead of making excuses.
If we hide our insecurities and let our fears govern us we will not know right from wrong - we will be confused and we will build a security wall around us - like Berlin or Israel - to keep out the fears that we should face!!! - We do this to keep out our own faults - to keep out what we don't want to REMEMBER.
We don't want to remember that it seems meaningless.
But as we know things are seldom as they seem - and when one TRUSTs in GOD and His signs - one will be taken on a ride unexplainable.
How would you explain love to someone who hasn't loved. You know it to be TRUE even if you have fallen out of it. But do you then still Believe in it.
Do you still REMEMBER it as it was OR do you remember it as you want it to be OR
Do you remember it as it really is?!
It depends on your FOCUS! Is your GOAL to open up and be vulnerable like a beautiful flower?
Do you want your soul to be filled with Light?
Do you want to have more ENERGY so you can reach out to others?
(I allmost sound like Sten hehe:o)
Sheikh Khalid Yasin says:
"In order to find Islam you sometimes have to push muslims out of the way".
How did the Prophets Abraham, Isaak, Joseph, Moses, Lut, Jakob, Jesus and Mohammed among others ACT. What was there ACTIONS - not only their speech. Where they good or evil examples for mankind compared to others? (May the best blessings and peace of Allah be upon them).
To boil it down I would say there is warm and cold, high and low, pretty and ugly(inside and outside), love or hate - compassion or envy - trust or mistrust - truth or false - simple or complicated - inner peace and inner war - outer peace and outer war - Heaven or Hell
balance or unbalanced(caos) - Pleasure for a moment or for Eternity...
In order to reach the positive side with a bright outlook one has to face one's fears and demons like all the Prophets did(p.b.u.t.)
In order to be a better example for others one has to cleanse out the ego.
A friend of mine said:
"When I meet new people and ask their names I allways FORGET - Because I'm busy thinking about my own name".
I would like to point out, with all due respect, that there are those who do not follow Allah, but who follow Yeshua(Yahweh),and there are still many others who do not believe in spirituality. I hesitate to describe my faith as religious, because if you truly love your creator, then you are not just following tradition for the sake of tradition. Jesus Himself denounced the pharisees as hypocrites for their vanity.
Thank you Hamid for your input, I will certainly apply it.
Just something which has inspired me to not do things while in a bad mood, as it only causes harm to all concerned. Attitude and inner peace or inner turmoil effect our perceptions and decisions and our ability to make unbiased healthy decisions.
It seemed relevant to people of similar mind. So I thought I would share...
Becoming Centred
This is like a reboot. A time of meditation when all is at peace and with an inner joy and confidence of being one with the universe. This is also being connected and one with God as Jesus was one with God, as a fountain of eternal life flowing up from the core of every part of your being and overflowing back to the universe.
To be still and know this and feel this and participate in this as a time of calm and reassurance. Then to be like this before making any decisions with the aim of harmony and fairness for all. This is to put all things in prayer to the greater power of the whole universe, known as God, the inner power in all and through, the substance and life of all things. The Father of all creation, inside and outside all things. To be in favour or harmony in all your choices is to maintain the balance and fairness of the kingdom of heaven here and now by participation and knowledge of responsibility.
The purpose of this is to reconnect in spirit and in truth in all humbleness to the supreme being, which is called the One True God. To have your free will harmonize.
Moses’ purpose was have the people follow the ways of God and keep law and order with fear and trembling for the consequences if you didn’t. Sacrifices of animals to remove guilt for sins and receive forgiveness. To welcome the stranger and keep them safe.
Jesus’ purpose was to reunite us back to the one true God with a relationship based on love which meant we kept the Spirit of the Law in good will to our fellow man. And kept a humble heart before God as a temple of the Holy Spirit, submissive to the good will and purposes of the Holy Spirit. Indeed to truly love the Spirit and it’s ways is the fruits of the seed of Jesus teachings. Jesus also paid the price as the lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world, so that all men can come to God by simply seeking Him with all their hearts. To love enemies and forgive one another.
Mohammed’s purpose was to bring law and order and submission to God for his neighbourhood. To bring about the basis of the Old Testament Law as given to Moses. To bring an eye for an eye, where previously some might take a life for an insult. The retaliation was to protect the innocent from the attackers and never be the aggressors. Also very big on hospitality to brothers and strangers.
Each of these also taught that love covers a multitude of sins. Yes forgiveness!
God is the merciful and will always forgive the genuine conversion by true repentance. That is a conversion to be part of the kingdom of heaven. As many of us may do this as many times as we find ourselves having gone astray off the path. When emotional issues get us caught up in reactions instead of being in control and in tune with the spirit our harmony redlines off course. All decisions made during this time need to be questioned. In fact it is best to not make any decisions until we are centred once again. I speak especially of anger where rash decisions can be life altering.
Forgive self for losing control. It’s okay it happens. The goal is to learn to control self and no longer be triggered. This takes time and practice. Again the more centred we are, the more in tune with the Holy Spirit we are. The difference is in having harmony in the flow of our activities compared to disarray overreacting. Best to nip in the bud.

That which you know, you know and, should know. That which you do not, you do not need to know. The situation, is one of trying to fit in, according to the expectations of those individuals, we are always trying to please or, appease. Why did JESUS come and give-up HIS life? That we might have life and, that life more abundantly. Where is the freedom to be in all the rhetoric?
